Does the HOA have a fidelity bond policy? HOA's basically suck as they are rather dictatorial. The home owners should be called in to vote on all issues. If this president is in any way, "bad mouths any home owner", he or she should be terminated on the spot. Free speech is a right. No one should be chastised for expressing their opinions. I have been on the board of a HOA in the past. Have seen both sides. And indeed there are idiots on both sides. Would like to know present state of affairs as I am looking into making a purchase.

UPDATE: The crystal clean finances are currently undergoing a 5 month investigation by a former Federal Investigator. A report is due around June 1, 2021 with a public promise to turn over any act of criminality to the appropriate law enforcement agency. It may have something to do with the entire reserve fund being drained and a few very suspicious projects in the past few years. Hold your judgement and stay tuned.

Bull. The treasurer reports and records are crystal clean, and only bullies and crybabies refuse to read the truth that has been presented at every single meeting.

The Scutt family are experienced real estate scam artists of the worst kind who have devastated people in Florida, Georgia, and Massachusetts, where the family is originally from. William E. (Edward) Scutt likes to brag about being in real estate his entire life, but in reality he has a criminal history and has never been licensed anywhere. Do your research and protect yourself. Run far, far away from William Scutt and the Scutt family.

The GM felt it necessary to send a note to all owners from the Treasurer on March 6. "As I said at our February 22nd Board meeting, anyone with credible evidence of financial malfeasance should bring it to the Board. If you don’t trust the Board, take it to the General Manager. If you don’t trust anyone associated with CRRA, contact the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office or any other law enforcement agency you trust" Snippy public responses to owners is typical and an area that Coosawattee certainly has room for improvement. Same goes for the GM continually insulting owners publicly.

Mismanagement of the Coosawattee River Resort Association has become obvious. Close to a million dollars gone from the reserve fund due to wasteful sending while road maintenance and other services have declined. GM has a nasty attitude towards owners and the board of directors is asleep at the wheel. This POA should be placed into a State receivership and a comprehensive forensic audit performed before any more damage is done.
